Alexander Boehmcker, VP Europe | Aidoc

I am a seasoned and purpose driven business leader. Since 2021, I serve as VP Europe for Aidoc, a leading provider of AI solutions in diagnostic imaging. From 2007 to 2020, I was CFO, COO and CEO of Telemedicine Clinic (TMC), a pioneering healthcare start-up which we scaled into one of the largest and most respected imaging diagnostic groups in Europe. TMC’s team of now over 300 medical doctors and 100 staff members serve every year some 1 million patients in five countries with high quality, sub-specialist diagnostic radiology and pathology reports. In 2017, TMC was acquired by the Swiss-based diagnostic group Unilabs. After a successful integration of TMC into the larger group, I stepped down from my role in January 2020 and founded Böhmcker Consulting. I believe in the importance of both technology/AI and environmental protection to solve the future challenges of humanity. Personally, I want to make a contribution in the areas of digital healthcare and forest related ecological sustainability. Their obvious contributions to societal goals is what makes me passionate about these areas. My main contribution to future projects will be that of shaping healthy, trust-based leaderships teams as well as strong, values-driven cultures. Sean has a broad experience working within a variety of healthcare settings, but has spent most of this time in the acute setting in hospitals such as St George’s NHS Foundation Trust and Epsom and St Helier Hospital, where he held a number of senior managerial roles. Sean is passionate about improving clinical engagement and patient care across the Trust, and has a strong track record in improving hospital operational performance whilst delivering a number of high profile clinical strategic changes, most notably the development of the 24/7 Thrombectomy service at St George’s, and the reconfiguration of General Surgery and Stroke at MTW. In his time at MTW he has been able to work with clinical colleagues to improve a number of key patient quality standards such as the 62-day cancer standard where the Trust has now passed 44 of the last 45 months, and the A&E 4-hour quality standard, where the Trust has now been in the top 5 national performers for the last 3 years.
